… Hobby Search kills a figure.
That’s right, Rei Ayanami from Wave is now closed for reservations.
Not unusual since Kotobukiya’s Asuka Langley has been closed for the 9001st time (at least it feels like that). Which I never predicted will happen.
Well Wave, Would it be nice if you could restock your Akiha also? It’ll be disappointing if you don’t. I am a worthy fan of the work.
It’s a beautiful figure. I respect Max Factory for their efforts. But unfortunately Yoko: Real Image is closed AGAIN. But knowing Max Factory, they are great with their stock. And I have to say, they make some of the best figures out there. Miku Hatsune was one of their best in my opinion.
Well, the only ways you will know it’ll come back is to get yourself on Waiting List Mail or search through MF’s section a billion times.

So you see, when a figure’s reservation closes it is released without any stock which is quite annoying. But Melona is back! Thank god for that. Seeing that she is my favourite ever QB character I feel happy for the other fans to get a hold of this!
Because of me it’ll sell out again. Ah well.

Gee… I’m always thrilled when I see a new closure. But as the picture suggests, Good old Hobby Search has closed reservations for Charlotte E Yeager from AmiAmi. I actually adored this figure. Quite disappointing it got sold out before I could capture it. Hopefully I’ll be getting a job soon. So I don’t have to annoy my parents for money.
Then I can pick her up.

If you are an extreme Hobby Search lurker, then you definitely remember the infamous Vocaloid puchis closing in just over an hour. Same with the Miku plushies from Gift. From this you may have thought, “What trouble has GSC been having with stock outs lately?”
Well, prepare to be disappointed! Yep, Morikawa Yuki is unfortunately closed for reservations after not even a month. Now, this is normal but gee, from my experience Good Smile only close reserves after they have been on the number 1 seller for ages and just think “Oh screw it, we can’t handle this any more.”
But this… has merely even reached the 14th best seller of the day. And it, well, closed. Will this be the only time it’ll close or will it be too popular to even reach 1 hour on reservations? Only time will tell.
There probably hasn’t been a blog about the Blue Bar Of Death on Hobby Search.
